You see what we say. Cued Speech makes spoken language CLEAR.
Cued Speech is a visual mode of communication that perfectly represents the phonemes of spoken language in order to provide full and unambiguous access to spoken language for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The system consists of eight handshapes that represent consonants and four positions around the mouth that represent vowels. Combined and strung together, they can convey the flow and vernacular of running speech. Thank you for Cueing!
